TESTIMONIALS

Daniel R.

From Anaheim, CA

I recently moved to the Trip-state area from Hawaii, after growing up in Southern California.
Needless to say, as a golfer I have been spoiled. Upon settling into the area, I played many
courses, Belfonte CC, Old Silo, Shawnee, Grayson, just to name a few. All of these courses
were nice and a refreshing change form my "Man-made" past experiences. Golfing in unison
with nature and on a course that challenges every aspect of your game is the "The Oaks"!
The course is like a 1970 455 GTO, rugged, a little loose, but a whole lot of fun! If you wear an
izod shirt and knickers, you probably shouldn't play here. This golf is for the No Excuses
golfer, play it where it lies, and make a golf shot. Don't get me wrong, you'll have plenty of
excuses for a high score, but if you want to add a lot of Nature, to great golf course lay-out,
then play the Oaks, just bring your big boy pants & a sense of adventure.

I wanted let you know I truly enjoyed playing the current nine holes that are open ..The course has some awesome views and very challenging holes and I liked the fact you need to get a good shot of the tee onto the fairways as there is  little chance of retrieving your ball if your shot goes out of bounds , it puts more pressure on you to make a more concentrated shot.   I really liked Hole # 8 . I didn't realize that there were other tee offs for # 8 until I traveled down the path to the green . So I used the blue tee box and birdied the hole that made my day. .. Just traveling the golf cart path was a thrilling ride and the golf cars are all electric including the directional switches very nice .. I am from Georgia and most of the southern golf courses are flat .   I visit my mom in Kentucky several times a year and I am glad to see that you have reopening the course ...  Your manager Rusty was very professional ............

I have been playing golf for 30 + years excellent course with great potential and look forwarded to coming back when the renovation is completed .. My grandkids would love just the ride in the golf cart its totally  fun
