By the Mediterranean Sea in France was living a wine-making family who worked up to 400 acres of vines in the region of Septimania. Their vineyard located at Domaine de la Coupe in Narbonne, had its castle constructed in the year 750.

At least 7 generations of wine-makers from this family succeeded to today.

French Oaks Winery received its federal license for wine producing and around mid-year of 2023, its Small Farm Winery license from the state of Kentucky.
